Top Seven Best Carnival Hairstyles based on comfort and ease of manageability
Choosing the right hairstyle for Carnival can make all the difference. Here are the top seven best Carnival hairstyles that will keep you looking fabulous all day. Trust us: on the morning of Carnival, no one has time to wait for you to get it together, and you don't want to frustrate yourself or your crew!
As a self-proclaimed Carnival Chaser, I've found myself in many situations across the Caribbean where J'ouvert or some water party is the day before Carnival, where I didn't know any hairstylists, or where I came in too late and too tipsy from a party the night before and overslept, missing my hair appointment. Of course, all this was before I just booked through Glam Hub.
Tip #1 - Braids, you cannot go wrong!
Braids are a classic choice for Carnival. They’re durable, stylish, and easy to manage. Whether you choose box braids, cornrows, or goddess braids, you can't go wrong. The only drawback is that this isn't a secret, and everyone knows. Whether you're Black, mixed race, or white, this style pretty much works for everyone. This also isn't something you want to do on Carnival morning. Get it done the week before so that your head isn't pounding or tender the morning of Carnival. Trust me girl, you don't want that stress.
Tip #2 - High Ponytail
A high ponytail is not only chic but also practical. It keeps your hair out of your face while allowing you to dance freely. This also works well if you have a headpiece, tiara, or a half crown. Pro tip: Get that bulletproof gel that keeps the front of your hair looking 'just done' for the entire day and make sure to secure those edges. You can purchase several ponytail options online the week before. Choose a hair color that matches your hair type and your costume.
"I love a braided high extra long pony tail. It looks great in pictures, no hair in my face and you can make it fancy with gold cords and metal cuffs" – Trisha Newaz | Glam Hub client 4 years

Tip #3 - Faux Locs
This is certainly one of the trending Carnival Hairstyles. Faux locs give you the look of dreadlocks without the commitment. They’re perfect for a bohemian vibe and easy to manage for a no-hassle Carnival experience.
Tip #4 - Head Wraps are the ultimate cheat!
This is high on our cheat sheet if all goes wrong and it's super affordable. If you're wearing a wig and don't have the time to lay those edges, band that front and move on. Head wraps are not only protective but also add a cultural touch to your look. Choose a wrap that complements your costume.

Tip #5 - Pig Tails
This style is super cute, and you can mix and match. You can do extra-long braided ponytails, keeping the hair out of your face and making for super cute photos, or you could go for highlighted ponytails half up, half down, like what Elle Smith - photo on the right- chose with a braided middle front.
Tip #6 - Choose a Glam Service
Although I'm affiliated with Glam Hub, I would still tell you to shop around. I choose Glam Hub because it is easier and everything is under one roof—makeup, photos, and they have a shuttle service. They also use the hairstylists that the bands and influencers use, in. additon to being located in all the carnival territories. You want to choose a service that's convenient and within your price range.

Tip #7 - Questions you need to ask yourself before choosing a Carnival Hairstyle
Choose a style that is most comfortable for you. Don't just follow the crowd. Here's what I do before I choose a hairstyle
How many days am I going to be at my destination?
What does my itinerary look like, am I doing any water parties, raft-ups, or Jouverts?
What are my outfit options?
What does my costume look like?
What hair products will I need? Do I need to take my curling iron, Wigs, ponytails and Extensions?
Is there a reputable Glam Service or will I have to fly solo?
I hope this helps! And remember, booking with Glam Hub means you have everything you need under one roof for a stress-free and glamorous Carnival! - I'm Just a Glam Girl
